Report on Investiture Ceremony of College Union (2023-24)

 

The Inauguration ceremony for the college election for Navajyothi College of Teacher Education for Women was held on 1st November 2023 at 2.00 pm. The Inaugural address was given by our Principal, Sr. Dr. Gigi Paul, highlighting the significance of student leadership and the democratic process within the college community. As a symbol of national unity, union members, house captains, and class representatives along with performances by different houses welcomed the college union. The A P J Abdul Kalam house welcomed the union members with a Gujarati dance, Savatribhai Phule house with a Punjabi dance, Tagore house with a Kashmiri dance and Arabind Ghosh house with Assamese dance made the ceremony more colourful. Sr. Dr Giji Paul and Binu Raman sir welcomed the college union members to the stage and the Inauguration ceremony officially began. Each candidate was introduced to the audience. The college union members, house captains, and option representatives got their insignia as a mark of holding their respective positions. The candidates for various positions took an oath of integrity and commitment to serving their fellow students. Benita Benni, the former chairperson of Navajyothi College also congratulated the newly formed Union. Then representing the college union, Miss Mariya Sajni expressed her gratitude to everyone. The vote of thanks was delivered by Jisna Joy Alookaran and the ceremony concluded with National Anthem.

Ek Bharath Shreshtha Bharath Quiz Competition Navajyothi College of Teacher Education for Women on 5 th March 2024 held a quiz competition organized by Ek Bharath Shrestha Bharath. The programme was conducted at multi-purpose hall and began at 9.30 am during the morning assembly. Devika T C from the Malayalam option did the announcement for the programme. The prayer was sung by Neethu Purushothaman. The welcome address was delivered by Sneha Joseph. The state taken for Ek Bharath Shreshtha Bharath is Himachal Pradesh. Greeshma T N gave a brief introduction to the idea of Ek Bharath Shreshtha Bharath and also an overall view of the traditions, and cultures of Himachal Pradesh. A PowerPoint presentation was shown to the students about Himachal Pradesh before the quiz competition. The questions for the quiz competition were taken from the presentation. Spandora talent expo

Report of the 4 th Spandora of the Academic Year 2023-24 The 4 th Spandora of this year took place at 3 pm, Friday, March 1 st , 2024. The initiative of organizing this programme was taken up by the Natural Science option.  This event facilitated the showcasing of the talent of all the student teachers from different options. Punnya Pauly of Natural Science Option extended a welcoming address to the gathering and provided instructions regarding the programme.  The fourth talent expo of Navajyothi College diverged significantly from previous editions, focusing exclusively on the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in collaboration with the 'Ek Bharath Shreshtha Bharath'. The programme commenced with a traditional dance from Himachal Pradesh presented by the Natural Science option and a traditional song performed by the Physical Science option.
